Stephen Fleming dismisses the speculations

When asked about Dhoni’s retirement plans in the post-match conference, Stephen Fleming said,”No, that’s not my role to put an end to it. I have no idea. I’m just enjoying working with him still. He’s still going strong. I don’t even ask these days. You are the ones who ask.”

Retirement Speculations

Retirement speculations have been rife about Delhi for a few years now. Every year, people question whether it would be the last season for the legend. Fans have been lucky to see him still play. Stadiums still get filled with Dhoni’s fans who just want to see the man on the field. Fans wait for him to come to bat even if it means his team losing the match.

In the season so far, Dhoni’s and CSK’s performances have been under par. CSK have now lost 3 matches on the trot after starting with a win. It was informed a few days back that Dhoni isn’t able to bat for long. That is why he is coming to bat much later.

Dhoni’s family reaches the stadium

Dhoni’s parents were spotted at the Chepauk against Delhi Capitals. Speculations reached the next level as his parents don’t usually come to stadium. Fans thought that it was going to be Dhoni’s last appearance. However, that did not happen.
