Dottin claims not injured, says ‘recovering from what?’

The first ball of the Women’s Premier League has not even been bowled but the first controversy is already here. Caribbean all-rounder Deandra Dottin has denied any injury claims, leaving the fans in shock. Earlier yesterday, the Gujarat Giants team management announced that Deandra Dottin had been ruled out of the entire WPL season as the West Indies player was recovering from a ‘medical situation’

Fans from all over the world had been flooding in to wish Dottin a speedy recovery ever since. However, Dottin denied all claims of her injury in a rather straightforward and exasperated manner when she quoted a fan’s post in her Instagram story and asked “Get well soon from what if I may ask?”

Dottin also immediately took to Twitter and informed her fans that she was not suffering from any medical condition whatsoever. “I really appreciate all the messages but truth be told I’m recovering from nothing but the Holy Ghost anointing thank you #GodIsGood #GodIsInControl,” the 31-year-old wrote in her tweet

Gujarat had named Kim Garth as the replacement for Deandra Dottin and fans were surprised to see her already there at the camp, even before the news of Dottin’s injury had been broken. Fans are alleging that Gujarat Giants Head Coach Rachel Haynes, who also hails from Australia could be the reason behind the controversy, as she may have been the one to prefer the Australian all-rounder over Dottin. However, Cricadium does not support any such allegations and would advise the fans not to make any assumptions before hearing both sides of the story.

Gujarat are set to play the Mumbai Indians in a couple of hours, and such a story may affect the team’s morale before the game. Let’s wait and see what the Gujarat Giants team management may have to say in the matter before we jump to any conclusions.
