Vaibhav Suryavanshi continued to impress with his batting as Sanju Samson remained out of action on Thursday. The 14-year-old already impressed all with his batting skills in the limited opportunity he got. Former IPL legend Suresh Raina could not stop praising the youngster for his approach.
On Thursday, Rajasthan Royals took on Royal Challengers Bangalore at their home ground. With Sanju Samson still out of action due to injury, Vaibhav Suryavanshi continued to impress as an impact sub. He came alongside Yashasvi Jaiswal to open the RR batting during the run-chase. Former players and fans are already in awe of the batting skill displayed by the Royals youngster.
Former India cricketer and IPL legend, Suresh Raina did not shy away from praising Vaibhav Suryavanshi. While speaking on Star Sprots he sang, “Chota bacha jan ke, na koi aankh dikha na rey, Dubi dubi dab dab (Little child, in your young life, you can’t see any rays with your eyes, submerged, submerged”. The song was song by Aditya Narayan, released in 1996.
“He is 14-years-old. His temperament, fearless approach, game awareness and the calmness in his body language shows that he is a ripe player, he is ready. He is never scared”, Raina further added.
Meanwhile, chasing 206 runs, Rajasthan Royals could manage to score 194/9 in 20 overs. Vaibhav scored 16 off 12 balls with two maximums. Yashasvi scored a 19-ball 49 with Riyan Parag also adding quick valuable runs in the middle. However, the onus was once again finally Dhruv Jurel (47 off 34) and Shimron Hetmyer (11 off 8). Rajasthan eventually lost by 11 runs, once again in another late collapse.
