Jasprit Bumrah back in action! Mumbai Indians looking forward to the pacer’s return.

Jasprit Bumrah, India’s leading fast bowler, has been out of action for the last two months. Bumrah was injured in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia earlier this year. Now, a video has emerged where the pacer can be seen running in to bowl at full speed. Bumrah is expected to be back in action soon.

Injury during Border-Gavaskar Trophy

Bumrah was India’s key player in the Test series against Australia. He was also the Player of the series. He carried the load of India’s expectations for most of the series. He also captained India in the only win of the series and was instrumental in that match. By the end of the series, the pacer was visibly exhausted. In the fifth test match at Sydney, Bumrah reported discomfort. The pacer bowled in the first innings of the match but was then taken for medical tests. He did not return to bowl.

Rehab at the NCA

Suffering from a stress-related lower back injury, Bumrah was advised to rest for 5 weeks. He has not played cricket for over 2 months now. The fast-bowler is going through a rehab process at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. Now, he has been bowling again, leading to discussions about his return.

Selected for Champions Trophy

Jasprit Bumrah was selected for the recently concluded ICC Champions Trophy. He was named as a squad member. However, he was then replaced by fast bowler Harshit Rana, as he couldn’t recover fully. India went on to win the tournament despite Bumrah’s absence.

Respite for Mumbai Indians

Bumrah’s comeback will be highly anticipated by the Mumbai Indians and the fans of the team. Bumrah is a key player for MI and has given extraordinary performances for the team. He is the go-to bowler for Hardik Pandya, the MI captain. His absence is hurting the team a lot. The Mumbai Indians side has lost the first two matches of the season. While they lost the opening match to Chennai Super Kings, they lost the next match to KKR.
