According to BCCI policies, India will have one coach for all formats, and the next coach’s tenure will last until the end of 2027.
While there was speculation that VVS Laxman, who previously coached the Indian team to a gold medal at the Hangzhou Asian Games 2023, might be a natural choice, reports suggest that he is unlikely to apply for the position. The BCCI is reportedly considering overseas options, with Justin Langer believed to be a contender. However, the situation remains fluid, and no decisions have been finalized yet.
