In a high-scoring match between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the IPL 2024 season, SRH emerged victorious by 25 runs. The match, which took place at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, saw a record total of 549 runs being scored. Travis Head was the standout performer for SRH, scoring a brilliant century.
After the match, SRH’s captain, Pat Cummins, took to Instagram to share a photo with Travis Head, praising his remarkable innings. Cummins captioned the post, “287 runs in a T20 “, highlighting the extraordinary nature of the match.
Marnus Labuschagne, who is not part of the IPL 2024 season but is a teammate of Cummins and Head in the Australian national team, commented on the post, expressing his amazement at the high-scoring game. Cummins humorously replied to Labuschagne, suggesting that he would have easily cleared the fence at Bangalore, hinting at the small boundaries at the ground.

In the match, SRH posted a massive total of 287/3 batting first, with Head scoring a breathtaking 102 off just 41 balls. In response, RCB put up a commendable fight, with Dinesh Karthik scoring a quickfire 83 off 35 balls. However, they fell short of the target, finishing their innings on 262/7.
With this win, SRH secured their fourth victory of the season and currently occupy the fourth position on the points table. They will face Delhi Capitals in their next match on April 20 in Delhi.
