Rishabh Pant is known to be a menace in the field. The left-hander causes bowlers trouble. However, he is also a spectacle to watch for people. For the spectators, he provides sheer entertainment. The humour element, which he brings in, is unparalleled and people love to see him in the field.
In a funny incident, Rishabh Pant forgot to call the toss against the Rajasthan Royals. The match between the Rajasthan Royals and the Lucknow Super Giants is currently being played. Host Rajasthan Royals is being led by young Riyan Parag in the absence of Sanju Samson.
When the two captains came out for the toss, there was much eagerness. As the host, Parag flipped the coin according to conventions. Pant was expected to call the toss. However, the LSG captain forgot about it. Simon Doull, the commentator, had to suggest for a repeat of the toss.
In his famous style, Pant was seen pulling the leg of Parag. As he missed calling the toss, he asked his counterpart how he flipped the coin without the call for it. When the coin landed, the commentator, the captains and the match referee stood in confusion for a moment.
Simon Doull, then, asked Parag to flip the coin again. Pant grinned and quipped, “Tune aise hi phek diya?” (“You just tossed it like that?”) — a line that drew laughs all around. The toss was redone, this time properly, with Pant calling tails and getting it right.
It is going to be an important game for both teams. The hosts RR are lagging behind in the tournament. They have won just 2 games so far in the season and are placed 8th on the points table. LSG, on the other hand, have 4 wins in 7 games. However, they lost their recent match, and are placed 5th on the table.
