Earning the ODI Cap
The 22-year-old’s journey from a raw talent to a promising all-rounder has been nothing short of inspiring. Parag’s hard work and dedication paid off when he earned his maiden ODI call-up for the series against Sri Lanka. In the series decider, he received his ODI cap from none other than Virat Kohli. Parag bowled nine overs and picked up three wickets for 54 runs, helping India restrict Sri Lanka to 248 runs. Although India went on to lose the match by 110 runs, Riyan Parag’s bowling was a bright point for the Indian team.
