Harbhajan Singh was born into a
middle-class Sikh family in Jalandhar, Punjab, on
3 July 1980. As the only son in a family of
five sisters, he was raised with strong family values and discipline. His father,
Sardev Singh Plaha, owned a small business dealing in ball bearings, and he had initially envisioned his son taking over the family trade. However, Harbhajan’s passion for cricket was undeniable, and his father supported his dreams wholeheartedly.
