With the introduction of a new rule that allows any Indian player who hasn’t featured in an international match for five years to be treated as an uncapped player, Harbhajan humorously pointed out that Dhoni now qualifies under this criterion. “Dhoni is immortal. He will play as long as he can. Now, he’s an uncapped player under the new rule – a two-time World Cup winner but he’s now uncapped… There are plenty of players who can register again,” he said, hinting at the potential for other former players to return.
