The ongoing controversy surrounding India‘s dressing room chaos took a fiery turn when former cricketer Harbhajan Singh hit back at fans making baseless claims against Rohit Sharma. The drama unfolded after a report suggested that head coach Gautam Gambhir had sternly reprimanded the team following their massive defeat in the Boxing Day Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Harbhajan Singh didn’t hold back when a fan accused Rohit Sharma of leaking sensitive dressing room information. The fan claimed that Rohit had spread a “fake narrative” against Gambhir and other teammates. Harbhajan, known for his outspoken nature, quickly stepped in to set the record straight.
“You seem like getting the information from the dressing room. Who is your source? Shall I say it? I know who’s playing this dirty game by paying u guys to tweet about an honest man,” Harbhajan retorted on social media, leaving no room for ambiguity.
His fiery response reflected his frustration with what he referred to as a “dirty game” aimed at tarnishing Rohit’s image. The veteran spinner demanded accountability and called out those spreading misinformation.

In another heated exchange, a fan insinuated that true leaders don’t abandon their teams midway through a series. Harbhajan’s response was sharp and cryptic.
“Main jaanta hu kaun bhaaga tha. Yaad dilau? Kaaran bhi bataaunga, rongte khade ho jaayenge (I know who ran away. Should I remind you? I can tell you the reason too, you’d get goosebumps),” he wrote, suggesting that there’s more to the story than meets the eye.
Rohit Sharma Breaks His Silence
Amid the escalating chatter, Rohit Sharma finally addressed the issue during Day 2 of the ongoing Sydney Test. Speaking to the official broadcasters, the Indian skipper dismissed the off-field noise, emphasising that it had no impact on the players.

“It doesn’t affect us because the players here are made of steel. We have tried our best to make players like this. See, we can’t control certain things, and we don’t want to fret about those things. We don’t want to waste time on it,” Rohit stated, firmly downplaying any distractions.
Rohit’s Struggles and Decision to Step Aside
Rohit Sharma’s absence from the Sydney Test sparked further speculation. The decision to rest came after a string of poor performances, with the captain managing just 31 runs across three Tests at a dismal average of 6.20. His highest score was a mere 10.
In his absence, Shubman Gill was brought in to strengthen the batting order. However, Gill too couldn’t do much magic across both innings and was dismissed cheaply.
