Angkrish Raghuvanshi becomes the new poster boy for KKR. Netizens can’t get enough of him

Young Angkrish Raghuvanshi has impressed everyone with his amazing stroke play. He is fast getting the recognition he deserves. The KKR batter scored a half-century against the SRH.

Takes down bowlers

Raghuvanshi took the attack to the SRH bowlers. Playing at KKR’s home ground, the batter spent little time getting going. He slammed Indian pacer Mohammed Shami for a four to start his boundary tally. The 20-year-old continued to show his class throughout the inning. He smashed other SRH bowlers like Harshal Patel, Zeeshan Ansari and Simarjeet Singh too.

Second IPL fifty

Raghuvanshi scored his second IPL half-century in the match. He brought up his fifty in just 30 balls. Facing Kamindu Mendis, he squeezed the ball to long-off for a single, bringing up his fifty. However, the batsman from Mumbai was out soon after his half-century. Mendis dismissed him as he tossed one up outside off. Raghuvanshi went to loft it over extra cover but could only slice it to deep backward point.

Impressive shots

In his 32-ball stay, the batsman played some really impressive shots. He took down gun bowlers, including Shami and Simarjeet Singh. He even scored boundaries against death over last year’s Purple Cap holder Harshal Patel. In all, he scored 5 fours and 2 sixes in his inning. He ended up with a strong strike rate of 156.

Huge talent

This was Angkrish Raghuvanshi’s second fifty in the IPL. He debuted in the tournament last year for the Kolkata Knight Riders. He played the match against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in Bengaluru. The batter couldn’t get his turn to bat. But KKR ended up winning the match by 7 wickets. They chased down a target of 183 in under 17 overs.

In his IPL career so far, Raghuvanshi has played 14 matches. In these, he has scored close to 300 runs at a healthy strike rate of 151.56.
