WWE Roster Gains Muscle: Bloodline Welcomes Hikuleo, Reigns Return Imminent

The dominant Bloodline faction in WWE is poised to gain another powerhouse member. Reports from Fightful Select, revealed by Sean Ross Sapp, indicate that Hikuleo, half-brother to Tama Tonga and adopted brother of Tanga Loa, is officially headed to WWE. While an official start date remains undisclosed, his arrival is expected to bolster the Bloodline’s presence.

New Blood, New Bloodline

Following Roman Reigns’ shocking loss of the Undisputed Universal Championship to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania XL, Solo Sikoa has stepped up to lead a revamped Bloodline. He has declared himself the new “Tribal Chief,” with the faction currently comprising Sikoa, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu. With Hikuleo’s imminent arrival, the Bloodline’s influence appears destined to grow even stronger.

Hikuleo is no stranger to success in the world of professional wrestling. Since making his debut with New Japan Pro-Wrestling in November 2016, he has established himself as a force to be reckoned with. His impressive accolades include a reign as STRONG Openweight Champion, an IWGP Tag Team Championship victory, and two STRONG Openweight Tag Team Championship wins.

From NJPW to WWE: The Road to the Bloodline

Hikuleo’s contract with NJPW expired in June 2024. According to Fightful Select, he confirmed discussions with WWE alongside Tama Tonga in January 2023. However, those talks did not materialize at the time due to an “informal hiring freeze” within WWE, as reported by Sapp on June 16th. This freeze impacted the signing of Hikuleo and several other wrestlers. Consequently, Hikuleo extended his contract with NJPW until the summer of 2024.

With the pieces seemingly falling into place, Hikuleo’s arrival in WWE signifies a significant development for the Bloodline. Additionally, reports from PWInsider.com suggest a potential return of Roman Reigns by SummerSlam at the latest. This return, coupled with Solo Sikoa’s upcoming title challenge against Reigns at SummerSlam on August 3rd in Cleveland, creates the potential for a truly explosive summer for the Bloodline. The dynamic within the faction, combined with Reigns’ looming return, promises a captivating storyline for WWE fans in the coming months.
