The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Schedule was announced on 24th December 2024. The Champions Trophy is returning after a long hiatus of 8 years. The last edition of the Champions Trophy was played in England in 2017. Pakistan defeated India by 180 runs to claim their maiden Champions Trophy title. The Champions Trophy 2025 will be hosted by Pakistan.
The Champions Trophy 2025 Schedule is set to begin on 19 February. The first game of the Champions Trophy will be held between hosts Pakistan and New Zealand at the National Stadium in Karachi. Though Pakistan are the host of the Champions Trophy 2025, India’s matches will be played in UAE owing to political tensions between the two countries.
The format of the Champions Trophy is pretty simple. 8 teams are divided into two groups of 4 each. Each team plays its group opponents once. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the Semi-Finals.
The first semi-final of the Champions Trophy Schedule will be played on 4th March at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. If India qualify, they will play in this semi-final only. If Pakistan qualify, they will play in the second Semi-Final on 5th March at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The final of the Champions Trophy Schedule is set to be played at the Gaddafi Stadium only. However, it can be shifted to Dubai International Stadium if India qualify.
