Dale Steyn, former South Africa cricketer predicted a high-voltage match for April 17. According to him, the IPL 2025 will see its first 300-run score during the match between Mumbai and Hyderabad at Wankhede Cricket Stadium, Mumbai.
Pat Cummins led Sunrisers Hyderabad took the IPL 2025 by storm when they posted 286 runs against Rajasthan Royals. Batting first, Sunrisers Hyderabad recorded the second highest total in the history of IPL. Due to their smashing innings, fans and experts cannot stop predicting when Hyderabad would reach the magic figure. Sunrisers Hyderabad won the match against Rajasthan Royals by 44 runs followed by good showing from RR batters. For Hyderabad, Ishan Kishan smashed an unbeaten 106 off 47 as Travis Head scored 67 off 31. Rajasthan top-order batters did not put up a good show except Sanju Samson (66). Later Dhruv Jurel added 70 off 35.
Speaking of the same, Dale Steyn predicted that in IPL 2025 300-run score will be breached on April 17. Interestingly, on April 17 Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad will take on each other in the 33rd match of the Indian Premier League 2025. Wankhede Stadium will be hosting the match and the ground is famous for big scores. On the other hand, the kind of batting is being displayed by Sunrisers Hyderabad this season, no wonder everyone is expecting big scores from them going forward.
Sunrisers Hyderabad almost broke their own record of the highest ever team total in IPL history during the clash against Rajasthan Royals. Now they will also be hoping for more big numbers in the upcoming matches. As far as the Wankhede Stadium is concerned, the highest IPL score at the ground till date is 235/1. The teams who batted first have won 54 times in the ground while the chasing teams have won 62 times.
