Australia all-rounder Cameron Green expressed his enthusiasm about joining the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) from Mumbai Indians (MI) in an INR 17.5 crore all-cash deal. In a video shared by RCB on Instagram, the 24-year-old conveyed his excitement about working with RCB’s head coach Andy Flower, who also coaches in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and Caribbean Premier League (CPL).
Green, who had a successful stint with MI in IPL 2023, accumulating 452 runs in 16 matches with an average of 50.22, including one century and two fifties, as well as taking six wickets, was released from the team to make room for Hardik Pandya.
In a statement, MI bid farewell to Green, thanking him for the memories and confirming his trade to RCB. RCB retained Green among 20 players ahead of the IPL 2024 auction, with a purse of INR 23.25 crore for the remaining slots.
