The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the fixtures for the upcoming limited overs series against Australia and their neighbors New Zealand. The series against the Aussies will mark the start of another long home tour for India.
The Australians, who recently competed against Bangladesh in a 2-Tests series, will travel to India and start their campaign with a warm-up match scheduled at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai on September 12. The first match of the ODI series then will be played at the same venue.
The 2 teams will do a lot of traveling across the country as the remaining ODIs will be played at Kolkata, Indore, Bengaluru and Nagpur. The 3 T20s will be hosted by Ranchi, Guwahati and Hyderabad.
Soon after the completion of the Australian series, New Zealand will arrive in India and feature in 2 warm-up matches at Cricket Club of India (CCI) Stadium also known as Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai scheduled on October 17 and 19 respectively.
The Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai will host the first ODI followed by Pune. The venue for the 3rd ODI is yet to be confirmed and will take place at one of the stadiums under UPCA. The 3 T20Is will be hosted by Delhi, Rajkot and Thiruvananthapuram.
