Career-best T20I ranking for Richa Ghosh

Richa Ghosh has entered the top 20 batters list of the ICC T20I rankings for women after her consistent contributions in the ongoing T20I Women’s World Cup. This is the career-best ranking for Ghosh in the batters’ table where she is the fifth Indian.

Indian Women

Smriti Mandhana (3), Shafali Verma (10), Jemimah Rodrigues (12), and the captain Harmanpreet Kaur (13) are other four Indians in the batters table along with Richa Ghosh. Ghosh scored 44 not out in 32 balls in a whn over West Indies and remained unbeaten with 47 off 34 in the match against England and thus managed to gain the position. On the other hand, Mandhana’s consistency has been the strength for Indian cricket team for long and the World Cup has not been any exception. Yesterday against Ireland Women, when India needed a saviour, Mandhana rose to the occasion.

In the bowlers’ table, Renuka Singh got her rewards following her career-best 5 for 15 against England Women. She moved up seven spots to fifth among the bowlers. However, India’s Deepti Sharma has dropped a couple of places to fourth.

Others Significant changes

While it comes to the other prominent international names, Amelia Kerr is currently the 13th best T20I bowler and also the third best all-rounder in the format. Her ranking in the batters’ list i.e. 16 is her career-best to date. Muneeba Ali from Pakistan is another batter to claim her career-best following her brilliant 102 off 68 against Ireland Women.

On the bowlers’ table, Lea Tahuhu has moved up from tenth to seventh position. Thanks to her stunning displace of bowling against Australia where she claimed eight wickets in four games. In the process, Tahuhu also breached the barrier of 700 rating points for the first time in her career. Australia’s 19-year-old fast bowler Darcie Brown is one of the top 10 bowlers now, thanks to her economical bowling. Among the allrounders, Ashleigh Gardner remained at No. 1 as Kerr Moved up. Pakistan’s Nida Dar reached the fifth spot after gaining two spots.
