Australia are set to travel to India this month to participate in limited overs series comprising of 5 ODIs and 3 T20Is. Before the series, they will feature in a warm-up match against the Board President XI on September 12 at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai.
BCCI has announced the 14-member squad for the Board President XI. It consists of several familiar names who came to the limelight by their performances in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Rahul Tripathi, Nitish Rana and Washington Sundar, who emerged from the IPL 2017, have been picked in the squad.
The other notable names are Mayank Agarwal, Shreevats Goswami, Avesh Khan and Sandeep Sharma. Gurkeerat Singh Mann has been elected as the captain of the side to face the Aussies. BCCI has awarded these players for their impressive outings in the Indian T20 league as well in the domestic tournaments.
Former Indian batsmen Hemang Badani has been named the coach of the side. The left-hander coached the team Chepauk Super Gillies who won their second Tamil Nadu Premier League title last month.

BCCI recently announced the fixtures for the ODI and T20I series against Australia. After the warm-up match, the 5 ODIs between the 2 sides will be held at Chennai, Kolkata, Indore, Bengaluru and Nagpur whereas the T20Is will be hosted by Ranchi, Guwahati and Hyderabad.
