Virat Kohli gets a new tattoo done ahead of the IPL season. The Royal Challengers Bangalore star was seen with a new tattoo on his right arm which caught everyone’s eye. Virat Kohli enjoys getting tattoos; his body is covered in numerous tattoos. This is Kohli’s 12th tattoo, which he has created on his right hand. Kohli had previously had 11 different tattoos done on his body. This tattoo also has some spiritual meaning behind it.
God’s Eye Tattoo inked on the left shoulder
Kohli explains, “I call it God’s eye. So, basically, the all-seeing eye. That everything that’s happening is being watched, and there’s someone always keeping a count of everything that you do. So that makes you feel connected in a way, and also, that makes you understand the essence of life and what we need to do as human beings and what our eventual goal is.”
Japanese Samurai Tattoo inked on the upper left arm
The Samurais were portrayed as the warriors of pre-modern Japan who upheld the values of respect, self-discipline, and allegiance to one’s master. It is one of his favorite tattoos of him.
Test Cap and ODI Cap Tattoo
Kohli has a tattoo of 175 and 269 which are the numbers of his ODI and Test Cap respectively.
Kohli has inked his mother and father’s name “Saroj” and “Prem” on both his hands.
Lord Shiva Tattoo on left forearm
Lord Shiva is worshipped by Virat. He, therefore, got a tattoo of Lord Shiva that depicts him in a meditative pose atop Mount Kailash, close to Lake Mansarovar.
Monastery Tattoo on shoulder
The tattoo of a monastery on the shoulder represents a strong, peaceful location.
Scorpio tattoo on the upper right arm
Scorpio Tattoo is the zodiac sign of Virat. Therefore has inked it on his right arm.
Tribal Tattoo on right forearm
This tattoo indicates that it is an aggressive symbol. Kohli plays cricket in the same way and doesn’t give his opponents a chance to get close.
Om tattoo on shoulder
The Om symbol represents the universal sound, which is arguably the universe’s most constant feature. “I’ve started to understand that now… So, I have started to realize strongly that I’m meant to be where I am, and this is not random,” said Kohli.
