Shami, representing SRH this season, walked up to MI skipper Hardik Pandya and requested him to sign his ICC Champions Trophy 2025 jersey — a symbol of India’s recent glory.

In reply, Mumbai Indians chased down the target in just 15.4 overs. Rohit Sharma smashed 70 runs, while Suryakumar Yadav added 40, guiding MI to a comfortable 7-wicket victory with 26 balls to spare.
With this win, Mumbai Indians climbed to third place on the IPL 2025 points table. Their aggressive performance with both bat and ball solidified their playoff aspirations.
