Following a serious car accident in December of last year, Team India’s ace wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant is making progress in his recuperation. In order to keep fans informed about his recovery from the accident, Pant has regularly posted photos and videos to social media platforms since his release from Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in January. On Friday, the Indian wicketkeeper-batter provided the fans with an update on a significant development in his recovery.

Pant’s Post

Pant was depicted in the post hurling his crutches and walking freely without any support. Pant was using crutches to walk throughout some of his outings in the 2023 Indian Premier League during Delhi Capitals games, but this is the first time the 25-year-old star has been spotted without them.

Before the car accident on December 30 of last year, Pant was a crucial player for the Indian side in all competitions. The wicketkeeper-batter was on his way home when his vehicle hit a road barrier on the Delhi-Dehradun highway. Prior to being transferred to a Dehradun private hospital, he received initial care at a neighboring hospital.

The cricketer was then flown to Mumbai in January where he received additional medical care at the Kokilaben Dhirubai Ambani Hospital.

Pant was at the Capitals’ IPL match against the Gujarat Titans last month as well as the team’s practice before the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore. In the 2023 edition, David Warner is in charge of the Capitals in Pant’s absence.

Suryakumar Yadav, meanwhile, wrote, “Spidey is back! More power to you.”
