Suryakumar Yadav reacts to the news report blaming him for a ‘coup’ in Mumbai cricket. Ekdum bakwas, he says

Suryakumar Yadav has come out to refute the news reports claiming him to be behind the players’ move from Mumbai to Goa. SKY has now reacted to the story, calling it rubbish.

Yashasvi Jaiswal’s move to Goa

Yashasvi Jaiswal has recently decided to move away from the Mumbai domestic side. The Indian batsman has joined Goa as their captain in the upcoming season. Jaiswal applied for a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA). It is learnt that the MCA has approved Jaiswal’s request.

The Times of India’s report

In a recent article in The Times of India, the reasons behind Jaiswal’s exit from the Mumbai setup were discussed. The article by journalist Sahil Malhotra mentioned that there is a coup going on in the Mumbai domestic side. It said that Suryakumar Yadav could make the same move to Goa. However, it said that no final decision on the matter has been made.

SKY behind the ‘coup’?

The TOI report noted that, as per the rumours, Suryakumar Yadav is responsible for key Mumbai players deciding to move to Goa. It said that after Jaiswal, other players can soon announce their decisions. SKY can also join the Goa side soon, the report mentioned. In fact, he is the one encouraging players to make the move, as per the report

SKY denies

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), SKY has come out and lashed at the report. He has rubished the claims and asked if a journalist or a script writer has written the report.

“Script writer hai ya journalist? Agar hasna hai toh I will stop watching comedy movies and start reading these articles. Ekdum bakwas ”, Suryakumar Yadav posted.

Goa looking for players

According to reports, the Goa domestic side is looking for players from around the country. The team has recently been promoted to the Elite division. Goa wants to stack its side with players from different teams and play competitive cricket. Yashasvi Jaiswal has already announced his move. As per reports, other cricketers can soon follow the suit.
