Bhuvneshwar Kumar has praised Rajat Patidar’s leadership during IPL 2025. Patidar, leading Royal Challengers Bengaluru for the first time, has shown composure under pressure. “He’s been very good. The best thing is that he’s been calm,” Bhuvneshwar said. “That’s what he needed, especially in this format. Because when you lose a match, the easy thing is to get panicked. And that’s what he has not done.”

He also praised Patidar’s tactics. According to Bhuvneshwar, the captain handled bowling changes well. That made a big difference in close matches.

“Our preparation is as usual, nothing different,” Bhuvneshwar said. “What we do for any opposition on any ground, it is going to be the same.”

Bhuvneshwar also spoke about his role alongside Josh Hazlewood. Both bowlers usually open the innings and bowl at the death. However, the team adjusts based on the match situation.

“The role cannot be defined before the match,” he said. “Normally, Hazlewood and I both bowl with the new ball, and both bowl at the death. But it keeps changing from match to match.”

He added that both of them want to pick wickets. More importantly, they want to do well for the team.
