Heinrich Klassen’s off stump goes for a toss with Bumrah’s ball

Heinrich Klassen looked back in form against the Mumbai Indians on Thursday. The South African looked like a menace against MI as he hit Deepak Chahar for 21 runs in an over. However, Bumrah sent Klassen’s off stump cartwheeling with a ferocious delivery.

Klassen goes big

Heinrich Klassen, holding a lot of pedigree in the IPL, is known for his powerful finishes and aggressive batting. IPL 2025, however, has not been the best time for the wicketkeeper-batsman.

He has not been able to find his rhythm, because of which SRH has suffered as well. Against the Mumbai Indians, that seemed to have changed as Klassen took down bowlers.
In the 18th over against the Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, Klassen went after Deepak Chahar. The batter scored 21 runs in the over.

Klassen hit Chahar for 2 sixes and 2 fours. He hit the first six over extra cover off a wide yorker. Chahar, then, bowled a leg-stump full toss. Klassen helped himself and deposited it behind the square. Klassen looked ominous for the hosts, and it seemed like they could be losing the plot. However, Bumrah came back to calm things down.

All it took for Bumrah to end Klassen’s assault was one delivery. Bumrah came into the attack with excellent figures of 3-0-17-0. His economic bowling so far was crucial for MI to cap SRH’s potential assault. The 19th over started with a full toss from Bumrah.

However, the ball was as good as a yorker. The ball speared in with high pace and also tailed in to cramp Heinrich Klassen. Klassen tried to play another offside boundary option. However, Bumrah wasn’t Deepak Chahar. Klassen tried to hit Bumrah. But Bumrah’s skiffy bowling and use of deception meant that Klassen had no clue about the ball.

Bumrah’s deadly ball sent Klassen’s off stump cartwheeling. The sight is one of the best possible sights for a fast bowler. Bumrah, with his greatness, has nothing new in it. However, as an observer, it is fascinating to watch Bumrah perform.
