India team will be hosting West Indies and South Africa at the end of this year. According to news reports, the Test series between India and West Indies will be part of next World Test Championship cycle. On the other hand, India will host South Africa for white-ball series.
According to a Times of India report, India will take on West Indies for two Test matches in Mohali and Kolkata. Whereas the dates for Mohali Test matches are not decided yet, the Eden Gardens is likely to host the second match from October 10 to 14 respectively. This Test series will be part of the World Test Championship 2025-27 cycle. Meanwhile, India missed to feature in the third consecutive WTC Final this year. After being finalists in back-to-back to World Test Championship, this time India secured third place in the WTC 2025 points table. South Africa and Australia will take on each other for upcoming WTC final starting on June 11.
India Vs England (away) – 5 Tests in June, July
India Vs West Indies (home) – 2 Tests in October
India Vs South Africa (home) – 2 Tests in December
India Vs Sri Lanka (away) – 2 Tests in August 2026
India Vs New Zealand (away) – 2 Tests in October 2026
India Vs Australia (home) – 5 Tests in January-February 2027
After the Test series, India will take on South Africa for three ODIs and five T20Is in November-December. The dates for this are yet to decided.
Meanwhile, Indian cricket team after winning the ICC Champions Trophy recently in Dubai, is now all set to shift to the longest format if the game. Once the IPL ends, Rohit Sharma and team will travel to England to play a five-match Test series.
