Fan breaches security in Jaipur to meet Virat Kohli, Kohli escapes during RCB vs RR match

A massive breach in security took place in Jaipur when a fan entered the ground to meet Virat Kohli. The match had just ended, and post-match presentations were to begin when the incident took place. Kohli somehow managed to dodge the fan running towards him.

Fan enters the ground in Jaipur

The Rajasthan Royals played their first game in Jaipur in IPL 2025 on Sunday. They were up against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru. As the match ended and post-match presentations were to begin, an incident took place.

A Virat Kohli fan somehow managed to breach all the security levels and enter the ground. He ran his way to reach his idol. However, Kohli managed to dodge the fan coming his way. He snuck away as the security force took over the situation. The fan was escorted off the ground.

Second such incident in IPL 2025

The Jaipur incident wasn’t unique. A similar incident occurred in the season’s opening match in Kolkata. Playing against the defending champions, Kolkata Knight Riders, RCB went to the Eden Gardens. RCB were successful in the match as they beat the home side comfortably.

However, even in Kolkata, a fan breached the security to meet Virat Kohli. He was successful in his attempt and reached Kohli to touch his feet. The man was arrested by the Kolkata police but later granted bail by a Kolkata court.

The court allowed the man the bail as it held that he carried no incriminating object. The court said that it could not be established that he had any bad intention.

RCB defeat RR

Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bengaluru cruised to another win. They defeated RR by 9 wickets, with 15 balls to spare. Batting first, RR scored 173/4. Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a brilliant 75 to power his team to the total. In reply, Phil Salt and Virat Kohli scored half-centuries to ensure a win for RCB. Padikkal played a good knock as well. He scored 40 off just 28 deliveries and stood there till the end with Virat Kohli to win the match.
