An enthralling encounter took place on Tuesday between the Lucknow Super Giants and the Kolkata Knight Riders. The match was full of exciting moments, big hits, wickets and a thrilling run chase. However, one moment stood out from the match. It was when young Harshit Rana gave a send-off to LSG batter Aiden Markram
LSG openers gave an explosive start to their team batting first. They set up a foundation for the batters next to go full throttle. Both Aiden Markram and Mitchell Marsh were in splendid form. Markram showed his class by scoring a brilliant 47 off just 28 deliveries, hitting four fours and two sixes. Marsh complemented him well as the duo added a 99-run partnership in just 11 overs.
Mitchell Marsh has been on fire in the season so far. The batter had already scored three half-centuries coming into this match. He did not stop in this match either. The Australian unleashed his destructive mode on KKR bowlers. He scored a magnificent 81 off just 48 deliveries, bringing up his fourth half-century of the season.
Markram was batting well against KKR and had already reached 47, closing in on a half-century. Harshit Rana came on to dismiss the South African with a cunning slower delivery. Markram had no answer to it as he was clean bowled. Rana went off to give a fiery send-off to Markram after dismissing him. He pointed him towards the dugout, showcasing his intensity. KKR fans got a voice as their team picked up the first wicket of LSG after an onslaught.
LSG, however, did not stop. Nicholas Pooran came to the crease and took the scoring rate even higher. He played a gem of an inning, scoring 87* off 36 deliveries. LSG posted a huge total of 238. Except Varun Chakravarthy, who got hit for 31 runs in 4 overs, every other bowler had a forgettable day on the field.
