Australia’s skipper Pat Cummins showcased why he’s one of the best in the business. His contributions with both ball and bat were pivotal in securing his team’s place in the ICC World Test Championship Final scheduled for June 2025.
Pat Cummins was in red hot form during the series against India. He bagged 17 wickets across three Tests at an impressive average of 17.64. His best of 5/57 came during the Adelaide Test. This helped Australia to a 10-wicket win over India.
But Cummins wasn’t just a threat with the ball. He proved his worth with the bat too, scoring 49 and 41 in the Melbourne Test.
Jasprit Bumrah: India’s Standout Performer in Australia
Jasprit Bumrah continued his reign as India’s premier fast bowler with a sensational series in Australia. He claimed the Player of the Series award for his phenomenal showing during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
Jasprit Bumrah was on fire in December, taking 22 wickets in just three Tests at a jaw-dropping average of 14.22. His standout showings came in Brisbane and Melbourne. He picked up nine-wicket hauls in both matches. To top it off, he earned the highest-ever rating points achieved by an Indian bowler in the ICC Test Player Rankings.
Dane Paterson: South Africa’s Bowling Hero
Dane Paterson was a key figure in South Africa’s march to the ICC World Test Championship Final. Paterson delivered some crucial spells against Pakistan and Sri Lanka to seek South Africa home.
Paterson’s stats speak for themselves. He took 13 wickets in just two Tests at a fantastic average of 16.92. His standout spells included a 5/71 against Sri Lanka and a 5/61 against Pakistan.
