England cricket captain Jos Buttler and his wife Lucy Webber are overjoyed to announce the arrival of their third child, a baby boy named Charlie. The couple, who are already parents to two daughters, Georgia Rose and Margot, shared the happy news with the cricket world through social media.
As soon as the news broke, congratulatory messages poured in from the cricket fraternity. Teammates, former players, and fans alike took to social media to express their joy for the couple and their newborn son.
Jos and Lucy tied the knot in October 2017, and their family has been growing ever since. Their first daughter, Georgia Rose, was born in April 2019, followed by Margot in September 2021. Now, with the arrival of Charlie, their family is complete.
Amidst the personal joy, Jos Buttler is currently leading England in the T20 World Cup 2024, being played in the West Indies and USA. However, the road to the Super 8 for the defending champions is not without its challenges.
Currently placed third in Group C with three points, England’s net run rate improved to +3.081 after their victory against Oman. To secure a spot in the Super 8, England must defeat Namibia in their next match and hope that Scotland loses to Australia.
In terms of individual performance, Buttler has so far scored 66 runs in two innings during the T20 World Cup. While the team’s overall performance has been mixed, Buttler’s leadership and on-field contributions remain crucial for England’s chances of progressing in the tournament.
