Pakistan spinner Sajid Khan added a touch of drama to the second Test against the West Indies at the Multan Cricket Ground. On Day 2, Sajid pulled off WWE star John Cena’s iconic “you can’t see me” celebration to intimidate West Indies’ lower-order batter Jomel Warrican.
The incident unfolded during the 59th over of West Indies’ second innings. Sajid bowled a slow, turning delivery outside off stump that spun sharply back. Warrican, attempting a wild heave, missed the ball completely. Sajid then gave him a piercing staredown, following it up with Cena’s signature move, much to the crowd’s delight.
Despite the intimidation attempt, Warrican responded with a smile, acknowledging both the delivery’s sharp turn and Sajid’s antics. The unexpected gesture became a talking point among fans and commentators alike.
John Cena’s “you can’t see me” pose, popularized during his WWE career, is often used to assert dominance or play mind games.
Sajid Khan and Noman Ali played a pivotal role in Pakistan’s fightback. Both spinners claimed four wickets each as Pakistan bundled out the West Indies for 244 in their second innings. This effort left Pakistan needing 254 runs to win the match and seal the series 2-0.
Earlier, Pakistan had a shaky start to the Test. Their first innings ended at a paltry 154, conceding a slim nine-run lead to the visitors. The match, however, saw bowlers dominate as West Indies managed only 163 in their first innings.
The Multan Test has been a rollercoaster. A staggering 20 wickets fell on Day 1. West Indies’ bowlers Alzarri Joseph and Jason Holder kept Pakistan under pressure. However, Sajid and Noman’s stellar performances brought the hosts back into contention. By the time of writing, Pakistan were 76/4 in the second innings. They need another 178 runs to win.
